Why waste vegetable scraps when you
can regrow them?
Yes, you can easily regrow vegetables like green onions, lettuce, leeks, and garlic. You don’t need soil or a green thumb to master this. Over thirty-some years, I have watched my great-grandmother, grandmother and mother regrow and reuse their vegetables and now you should too!
All you need is a little water and sunlight, and watch your green onions grow in just a few days. The best part is that it doesn’t take up much time, space, and it's FREE! You don't EVER have to bother wasting that extra $ replenishing your supply, because one bundle can keep providing an endless fresh supply!
Here's what you do:
Cut the last inch or two off of the onion, and make sure to keep the white bulb intact with the roots. Put the bulbs in a mason
jar or glass with a small amount of water , as shown in the photo above, so it’s roots are wet, and place them on
your window sill. Within 3-5 days you will begin to see the onion sprout from the inner rings. Make
sure to change the water every couple days so the bulbs don’t get slimy and
greasy.
