Using new products in recipe
development is one of my favorite things to do as food blogger and home cook. It
keeps my cooking creative and fresh, and not so redundant. So when the opportunity arose to team
up with noosa® yoghurt
and Social Moms to
bring you a few original tasty ideas, it was a chance I couldn’t pass up. I was able to create delightful, farm fresh,
and unique pairings with the yoghurt, and I am so excited to share them with
you.
As we settle into the fall season, pumpkins are
popping up everywhere! Their subtle yet rich flavors kind be enjoyed in a
variety of ways, and I happily discovered that I am madly, deeply in love with
the noosa® pumpkin yoghurt.
What a way
to start my day! Although breakfast is the most important meal of the day, we
all seem to miss it. This is a
mistake I will not make. Grab noosa®
pumpkin yoghurt, top it with some raw pumpkin seeds, and have breakfast
ready to eat in less than 1 minute.
Those little powerhouse pumpkin
seeds are filled with magnesium, zinc, protein, and antioxidants, in addition
to tasting great and adding a welcoming contrasting texture. You get all this,
plus the health benefits from the smooth and creamy probiotic filled yoghurt
underneath.

Grilled shishitos peppers with noosa® lemon
yoghurt dipping sauce
As an avid home cook, I
always use fresh ingredients from the Farmer’s Market to create unique dishes. During my last trip, I picked up some
shishito peppers. They are a great
snack, and some of them give off a little heat. I thought it would be a great paring of flavors if I grilled
them, and then combined them in noosa® lemon yoghurt. And guess what? I was right. It was absolutely delicious!
A shishito pepper is a Japanese pepper that is typically sweet and mild, but
approximately one in ten are spicy. When you get a spicy one, you will know,
trust me. Don’t be afraid to try them, the anticipation of eating a spicy one
is all part of the fun.
Ingredients:
1 pound of shishito
peppers, washed and stem-on
1 tablespoon olive oil
¼ cup of noosa® lemon yoghurt
Sea salt and pepper
preparation:
Preheat the grill to medium-high
heat. In a small bowl, toss shishito peppers with the olive oil, freshly ground
pepper and a pinch of salt. Place the shishito peppers directly on grill. Cook
for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, or until peppers are charred and
blistered. Remove from grill.
Place peppers in a serving bowl or
on a plate. Serve immediately with a side of ¼ cup of noosa® lemon yoghurt. Enjoy!
