Nellcote

For my Birthday dinner, my husband, Steve took me to celebrate at Nellcote.  It's located in the former Marche, the interior design and atmosphere is super sexy European glamour.  Nellcote is named after a French Riviera mansion where Rolling Stones recorded Exile on Main Street.  We were seated at a communal high top, but the restaurant wasn't too crowded for a Thursday, so we had an intimate dinner. Our friends, Danny and Anthony, ate there the first night it opened, so we ordered their recommendations.  I was excited to try their homemade flour produced in house by a custom built stone mill in the kitchen. The squid ink strozzapreti(maine lobster, meyer lemon, mint, and fresno chilies) and the sunnyside up organic pizza(fontina and black truffle) were sold out at 8:00 pm. I was very disappointment that the two things I really wanted to eat for my Birthday were not available.
